Bihani is basically a Nepali Movie which you can simply enjoy with the whole family on a lazy Saturday afternoon if no one has anything on their schedule.
Bihani starts off as a typical village life story where there is Mohan’s mother who is waiting for the return of her son as we know villagers traveled distances to get to where they are or they traveled places in search for a livelihood. Along the way, he meets with Narayan who he invites back to his home and eventually he settles in as a family. Upon their return, Mohan carries on his daily life in that village with Narayan as his partner in crime for everything he does. While carrying out odd jobs at the village, Mohan and Narayan meets a girl from a rich family whom they mistake for a Devi (which is known as Deity in Nepali) as they first meet her in a temple.
She is played by Bipana Thapa and she is reluctant to open up or be friendly with the boys even though they keep talking to her. When finally, Mohan reveals to her that they thought she was a Devi, she laughs which eventually leads to her being more friendly with Mohan. Then, she reveals why she is so unsociable and to keep cheering her up, Mohan tries everything. This Nepali Movie might be slow in pace but it gives a look at the life of a common village and it is enjoyable as there is comedy and simple way of living shown of two village simpletons.
